• You will need a FLAT surface to complete this repair for your safety.

• READ ALL OF  THIS PROCEDURE SEVERAL TIMES SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND IT.  DO NOT PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUT OF ORDER.  THIS WILL RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.

TOOLS NEEDED:

1. 10mm nut driver

2. Long Straight (slotted or "Prince") screwdriver

Procedure for adjustment

1. Check to see what the RPM is before proceeding.

2. Using the long straight screwdriver, screw in the screw fully (until it stops)

3. Then screw out the adjustment screw two and one half turns.  This will readjust a stock carburetor.

4.  Your VW should then idle at 1000 RPM
