You will need a FLAT surface to complete this repair for your safety.

READ ALL OF  THIS PROCEDURE SEVERAL TIMES SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND IT.  DO NOT PERFORM THE PROCEDURE OUT OF ORDER.  THIS WILL RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.

This procedure requires 2 people to work right.

TOOLS NEEDED:

  1. 8 mm Line and combination Wrenches

Parts needed:

  1. Brake Fluid (at least a quart (liter))

Procedure for flushing

  1. Lift up the VW using the Lifting up Your VW All Four Tires Procedure.

  2. Fill the Brake reservoir to the top of the bottle.

  3. Start with the Drivers Front (Left Front) brake.

  4. With one person inside the VW, loosen the bleed valve.

  5. Have your second person pump the brakes until you see the fluid get clear.

  6. Once the fluid is clear, close the bleed valve

  7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for the remaining wheels in this order: Passenger Front (Right Front), Passenger Rear (Right Rear), Driver Rear (Left Rear)

  8. After completing flushing of brakes then you must complete adjusting the brakes using the Adjusting the Brakes procedure
