TOOLS NEEDED:
Straight (slotted or "Prince") screwdriver
Parts needed:
Hydraulic jack oil
Procedure for filling
Best to either use the
storage box or place newspaper under the jack.
Locate fill hole.
It will be either a bolt or a rubber grommet (as this jack is). In
the case of Rubber grommets, you may have to scrape the paint away
from it.
After removing the bolt
or rubber grommet, put it in a safe place so you can find it once
you are finished filling the jack.
Make sure the Jack is in
the lowest position before filling.
Remove the top of the
Jack Oil. If it is a new bottle, do not forget to remove the
inner cap.
On new bottles you may
have to cut the top of the nipple of the bottle with a pair of
lineman's pliers or wire cutters
While holding the tip of
the bottle, gently place the tip into the hole of the jack and begin
filling it.
Begin filling up the
jack.
Fill until it is over
the top of the hydraulic plunger inside the jack.
Do not worry if it
overflows, just wipe away the excess.
Place your finger over
the tip and remove the bottle from the hole in the jack.
Place the bolt or rubber
grommet back in the hole
Then cycle the jack up
and down several times to insure proper operation.
