Good care of your rims is very important.  Rusty rims make it very hard to get a good seal on the bead of the tire. 

There are a couple of choices when it comes to rusty rims.

1. Sandblasting of the rim

2. Using Naval Jelly to remove the rust.

3. Wire brush or Wire Brush wheel on a grander or drill

Of course, once you get rid of all of the rust, be sure to paint the rim with any rust resistant paint.  See more about painting on our painting page.
